Uses learning materials (textbooks) that cost the students zero dollars. Many instructors use Open Educational Resources (OER) to make their courses ZTC.
Open Educational Resources (OER): "Teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits their free use and re-purposing by others." This can be items that are textbooks, articles, quizzes, handouts, videos and other educational materials. Unlike traditionally copyrighted material, these resources are available for "open" use, which means users can edit, modify, customize, and share the resources. - Open Educational Resources (OER):
