If a book is checked out, can I put a hold on it?

Answer

If the book is from our Main Collection or our Paperback Collection and it is currently checked out, yes you can place a hold on it. This means that once the book is returned, you will be next in line to check it out.

Search for the title in OneSearch. If the status is checked out and we do not have any available copies, you can place a hold by logging into your account.
Use the "sign in" feature in the top right hand corner or in the yellow box.

Click on the title you want. You will see a link to "request".

Primo request screen feature

Choose the last day you no longer need this book and submit your request. Once the book is returned, you will be notified it is ready for pick up. You will come to the Circulation Counter to check out the book. This same process can also be used for any DVDs we have in our DVD Collection that are already checked out.
