Help with Proctorio / LockDown Browser

If you checked out a Chromebook/Laptop from the L/LRC, Proctorio & LockDown Browser will already be installed. 

 

Proctorio: Getting Started

1. Go to Proctorio.com and click on "Get Started"

2. Follow the instructions in the "Are you a test taker" section 

Please note: Proctorio only works on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. When downloading, all of the prompts will refer to Google Chrome. If you are using Microsoft Edge, you can proceed anyway. 

3. To take a test, click on the link provided by your instructor. This will prompt Proctorio to open. 

 

LockDown Browser: Getting Started

1. Download LockDown Browser via the link from your professor and follow all the instructions, as listed on the LockDown Browser webpage.

2. To take a test, click on the link provided by your instructor. This will prompt LockDown Browser to open. 

 

Proctorio & LockDown Browser: Troubleshooting

1. If the steps above do not work, try restarting your computer first.

2. The L/LRC has computers with Proctorio & LockDown Browser loaded, so you are welcome to take your test in person during the LRC open hours. For more information about the LRC hours and visiting procedures, please visit our FAQ titled, Is the Library / LRC building open? 

3. Contact your professor for help. 

4. Email distanceed@cypresscollege.edu for help with Proctorio & LockDown Browser.

5. For Chromebook troubleshooting, contact Academic Computing.
