Library FAQs

If you are a currently-enrolled Cypress College student and your @student.nocccd.edu email account has been disabled before March 30th, please take a look at this FAQ for directions on how to temporarily reactivate your account. 

Your Cypress College email address is your student number@cypresscollege.edu 
For example: 01234567@cypresscollege.edu 
 

• Log in to myGateway to access your Cypress College email account.
• Click on "CC Email" in the left-hand navigation under Shortcuts.
• On the Microsoft 365 log in screen, enter your:
  username: your student ID number@cypresscollege.edu 
  (for example: 01234567@cypresscollege.edu)
  password: your myGateway password
   

If you have already set up 2FA (two-factor authentication), follow the prompts. If you have not set up 2FA yet, you can:

• Download the Microsoft Authenticator app.
• Provide your phone number so you can receive 2FA messages.

Once you have logged in and completed the authentication process, access your email inbox by:

• Clicking on "Outlook" in the left-hand navigation or clicking on the icon with nine dots  in the upper left-hand corner to open a panel showing all the applications you can access.

You can access Microsoft Office software through your email account. 

Be sure your preferred email address is updated in myGateway:

• Log in to myGateway and go to the "My Information" widget
• Go to "Update Information"
• Use the pencil icon to edit your preferred email address information or use "Add New" to add a new email address.

You can also change your password through myGateway.

• From the login screen, click on "Forgot Password?" 
• You will be prompted through the steps to reset your password
